My youngest daughter Sophie, flew into Sydney after I had attended a work conference. We caught the train to Cronulla, then the ferry over to Bundeena and then wandered through the suburbs until we found the start of the Royal Coastal Trail. It was hot, but we discovered a few cool streams on the cliff top to swim in.
Our only evening out was spent on a nice grass headland overlooking a beautiful beach. We made it to Otford lookout, our final destination in the heat of a scorching Sydney day.
We relaxed on the hill recouperating for a while, but knew at some stage we had to walk the 40 minutes to the Otford Train station to get back to Sydney to check in to our hotel for another day of wandering, only this time we didn’t need a pack, just a camera.
